When MIS Technology Group began working with Catholic of Pointe Coupee in 2009,our team encountered an organization whose systems had not been cared for and managed properly.
Their professional trust had been abused by a previous vendor, who overcharged and underprovided service. The MIS team provided consultation, and took over the management and support of CPC, dispatching employees on a regular basis in order to resolve chronic issues.
Solution
MIS spearheaded the process by resolving wireless and helpdesk issues.
Over the years, MIS has completely upgraded all of CPC's server resources. Through the utilization of VMware Vsphere, MIS Installed and provided virtualized servers for CPC. MIS designed a massive upgrade to the wireless system.
Currently, the campus has over 50 wireless access points covering every area of the school.
MIS additionally installed an all Cisco Meraki deployment for the school. CPC uses a Cisco MX100 with advanced Security Services. The services allow them to scan for malware, Native IPS, and serve as a webfilter for compliance. In order to complement the security features previously mentioned, Webroot is used on all devices.
Our MIS team has also converted Catholic Pointe Coupee’s email server from internal Exchange 2010 to Office 365.
CPC utilizes Office 365 for student and teacher email. This development to cloud usage continues to stabilize and advance resources available to teachers and students. The MIS help desk continues to provide assistance to all 365 support requests.
